Dr. Leon D James, DDS, MBA, MS, DABDSM, is a Dental Physician who is an expert in treating patients who suffer from jaw pain, sleep apnea, dental phobia, or who want to improve their facial appearance.

 

Dr. Leon D James, DDS, MBA, MS  DABDSM received an undergraduate degree in Biology from Prairie View A&M University.

 

In 2006, he received his Doctoral of Dental Surgery from  Howard University College of Dentistry located in Washington, DC.

 

In 2007, Leon completed an intensive general residency program at Bronx Lebanon Hospital, focusing on Total Mouth Rehabilitation, Implants, Cosmetics, and Sedation Dentistry.

 

Earlier in Dr. James’ career, he dedicated himself to serving underserved communities.

 

In 2004, Dr. James became a member of the National Health Service Corps and served as a dental director at Charter Oak Community Center in Hartford, Connecticut.

 

Dr. James also completed specialty training for IV sedation at Montefiore Hospital and Implantology at the Medical College of Georgia.

 

He also completed advanced training in orthodontics, in which he received Diplomate degrees in Implantology, Cosmetic Dentistry, Dental Sleep Medicine, and Orthodontics.

 

In addition, Leon D James, DDS, completed TMD training from the Dawson Institute and is credentialed as a Diplomate Dental Physician for treating sleep apnea with oral appliances by the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine.

Leon became very interested in facial cosmetics as well as facial contouring. In 2018, Dr. James began training at several forward-thinking education groups, including the American Academy of Facial Esthetics and the American Academy of Procedural Medicine.

 

Dr. James has built his life on the philosophy of being “A Student for Life”; therefore in 2014, Dr. James received his MBA degree from Texas Tech University.

 

In 2010, 2015, 2018, and 2019, Dr. Leon D. James was selected as one of the Leading Physicians of the World for Implant and Cosmetic Dentistry.

 

Currently, Leon has earned his master’s degree at one of the most recognized universities in the world concerning Orofacial Pain and Oral Medicine, as well as, Pain Management.
